Mode of Study – 1st Level
Both full-time and part-time modes of study are available at FT TBU.
Full-time Mode of Study
Formerly also called “daily” study; in this type of study the majority of the education is organized in the form of lectures, exercises, seminars, courses, practical training and experience, laboratory work as well as in other ways. In this system, the student is in direct contact with the teacher and gains knowledge, skills and experience directly. Attendance and participation is controlled. The lectures, seminars and labs cover most of the week, just as you were used to at high school. This is the option chosen by most students.
Part-time Mode of Study
Previously, the term “long-distance” was also used. This type of teaching combines elements of full-time study and self-study, all of which is coordinated by the educational institution. Instruction and training usually takes place once every two weeks all day on Friday and Saturday. At other times, you have the opportunity to work (ideally within the field) to complement your theoretical knowledge from school with your own practical employment experience.
