CHEMISTRY AND FOOD TECHNOLOGIES SPECIALIZATION in the Technology of Milk and Dairy Products

What is the first product you become an expert at immediately after birth? Clearly, it’s milk, and no wonder. Milk and dairy products have been an important part of our diet since time immemorial. It goes without saying that these products are a source of nutrients, calcium, lactose, protein, minerals and vitamins. This study specialization allows you to look under the lid at all aspects of milk production and processing technologies. Regarding cheeses, you will come to recognize what delicate flavors and consistency are produced by carefully-controlled aging processes using mold or brine, e.g. what specialty cheeses complement wine tastings. In addition to quality and storage, you will also become acquainted with not only the essential legislation and the introduction of new products, but also with their traffic management and distribution. An important part of these studies takes place directly inside of dairy plants, where our undergraduates gain tons of practical experience. Got milk?
