About the Department

High-pressure capillary rheometer Rosand RH10

Device description:
The device is used for advanced rheological characterization of polymer melts and rubber compounds at high deformation rates. Temperature range: 30 – 400oC, maximum piston speed: 1200mm/min, maximum force: 100kN.

Key features:

  • shear and extensional viscosity measurements (uniaxial and planar) using FreeFlow dies
  • melt strength measurement using Haul-off system
  • die swell measurement using Dual-axis laser and Melt cutter system
  • measurement of the first and second normal stress differences using Slot die system
  • evaluation of wall slip and flow stability
  • determination of pVT diagrams
