An Indian business and academic delegation visited the Faculty of Technology

The Faculty of Technology of Tomas Bata University in Zlín welcomed an international visit. As part of a business and academic mission focused on water management, waste management, and the circular economy, representatives of prominent Indian institutions and companies visited the faculty.

The delegation, accompanied by Michal Horáček, Economic Diplomat of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi, consisted of representatives from leading Indian universities and entities. These included representatives from prestigious technical institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar and the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, as well as Chitkara University, representatives of the state administration, and innovative companies such as Green Solution Group of Companies, Neev Bioroots Sustainable Fuels Pvt. Ltd., and Carbonyx Innovations S.R.L.

The main goal of the meeting was to establish future cooperation in the fields of science, research, and education. The Indian guests showed keen interest in touring the state-of-the-art facilities and equipment of the faculty laboratories and discussed opportunities for connecting the academic sphere with industrial practice. The negotiations also touched upon the topics of mutual student exchanges and methods of funding these stays.

Support for the development of Czech-Indian relations was also expressed by Ms. Ing. Klára Wajdová from the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, who pointed out that the Czech Republic actively supports this cooperation and focuses on it, for example, within the framework of projects by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR).

The visit confirmed that the topics of sustainability, modern environmental technologies, and the circular economy are opening doors to valuable international partnerships and further joint projects.
