Rotational rheometer ARES-G2
Device description:
This is high-precision instrument for advanced rheological characterization of polymer melts and rubber compounds at low deformation rates and a wide temperature range (30 – 600oC). The oven is equipped with an observation and recording camera and lighting. The reometer is equiped by unique separate motor and transducer technology with instant force compensation. The maximum motor torque is 1 600 mNm.
Key features:
- determination of rheological characteristics in shear flow using plate-plate or cone-plate geometries with smooth, serrated and grooved surfaces
- possibility of using special geometries such as cone and partitioned plate accessory for highly viscous and elastic polymer melts or replaceable disposable plates with a drip channel
- possibility of measurement in SAOS, 2D-SAOS, MAOS and LAOS modes, data evaluation using Fourier transformation including calculation of MWD from measured data
- possibility to generate any waveform for deformation and deformation pulses (e.g. square, triangular and other user-defined)
- possibility of measurement in orthogonal superposition OSP mode for deeper study of nonlinear viscoelasticity
- determination of rheological characteristics in elongational flow using EVF and SER3 systems with different types of interchangeable drums (smooth, roughened and grooved).
