Vector analyzer PNA-L-N5230A
Device description:
The Agilent PNA-L-N5230A vector analyzer allows (at laboratory temperature) to measure S-parameters from two ports. The reflected and transmitted EM waves in the two-port PNA-L (Fig.) can be mathematically expressed by the complex scattering parameters S, i.e. S11 (or S22) and S21 (or S12). These are the input reflection coefficient (S11), which is equal to the amount of reflected intensity of the incident signal, and the output (backward) reflection coefficient (S22).
Key features:
– based on the analysis of S parameters, the transmission coefficient (T), reflection coefficient (R) and absorption coefficient (A) in the frequency band 1GHz-18 GHz can be determined by mathematical calculation
– determination of the complex dielectric permittivity in the frequency band 1GHz-18 GHz
– dimension of solid samples
– from the measured data it is possible to calculate the total shielding efficiency SE (dB) of the measured material against electromagnetic waves
